The ISTSS Annual Meeting is a unique opportunity to learn the latest in traumatic stress research, hear about clinical insights and innovations, earn continuing education credits, and network with colleagues.
The 2010 meeting in Montréal will be the year's largest gathering of professionals dedicated to trauma treatment, education, research and prevention. More than 100 symposia, workshops, panel discussions, cases and media presentations will be presented on a wide variety of topics related to traumatic stress.
ISTSS 26th Annual Meeting Executive Committee members: Jonathan Bisson, DM, ISTSS conference co-chair; Neil Roberts, DClinPsy, ISTSS conference co-chair; Ulrich Schnyder, MD, ISTSS 2010 president; Lina Carrese, National Centre for Operational Stress Injuries, Veterans Affairs Canada; Alain Brunet, PhD, Traumatic Stress Section, Canadian Psychological Association.
The learning objectives for this program are:
- Examine the multi-dimensional effects of trauma;
- Integrate the processes involved in translational research;
- Describe benefits of interdisciplinary collaboration in improving our conceptualization of trauma effects;
- Demonstrate such benefits in improving intervention applications and in the dissemination of research findings.
Several presentations at the meeting will be given in French, some with English translation.
