ISTSS Student Representatives Election

Are you a student or trainee looking for an opportunity to serve with the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ISTSS)?

Applications are being accepted now for the election of the chair and vice chair of the ISTSS Student Section for the November 2013 – November 2015 term. All candidates must be ISTSS Student Members and willing to serve in the position of vice chair if they are not elected as chair but have attained the second highest number of votes in the student election.

―Serving as the Chair of the ISTSS Student Section has been a tremendous experience of both professional and personal growth. It has been a privilege to work with other brilliant student members and learn from leaders in the field of traumatic stress. - Namik Kirlic, Student Section Chair

―Serving as a student leader has been a true joy for me. I have learned much alongside those who champion our cause, that is, bringing traumatic stress research, treatment, and advocacy into public awareness, the hands of policy makers and into treatment centers across the globe. Serving as a student leader is a great opportunity to grow one's understanding of and participation in ISTSS's mission to benefit our science and fellow humans. - Andrew J. Smith, MA, Student Vice Chair
