ISTSS Colleague Connection

ISTSS has always encouraged group presentations due to high submission rates, the length of sessions, and to further ensure the scientific integrity of content. Even though you can submit an oral presentation as an individual paper presentation abstract type, only a portion of the meeting will be filled from these submissions.

Therefore, we encourage you to connect with colleagues for the purpose of jointly planning a presentation. There are several ways to do this:

1. Use the feature below to post a message to others. Describe the type of presentation you are hoping to plan in the Interest Areas/Additional Information box.

Example: I am looking for other child trauma specialists to do a symposia on topic X.

Keep in mind when posting your contact information that it will be visible to all internet users.

2. Become a member of ISTSS because members can join and communicate with the appropriate Special Interest Group to look for others who might be interested in presenting with you. A list of SIGs is located at: http://www.istss.org/sigs/index.cfm. Additionally, some SIGs have established their own WebBoards.

3. Network with colleagues at the annual meeting to plan for the following year. For example, visiting with poster presenters is an easy way to make a connection and discuss submitting an oral presentation together.
