Special Interest Groups and Affiliated Organizations

Special Interest Groups (SIGs)

The diverse membership of ISTSS has given rise to numerous Special Interest Groups (SIGs) that bring together members with shared interests. There are approximately 20 SIGs, including Child Trauma, Diversity and Cultural Competence, Pharmacotherapy and Neuroscience, Gender, Intergenerational Transmission of Trauma and Resiliency, Research Methodology, Terrorism, and Early Interventions. SIGs convene during the Annual Meeting and interact throughout the year via online discussion groups that are open exclusively to ISTSS members. Members are encouraged to join existing SIGs and to create SIGs in new, unexplored areas.
